About Mrs. Morrison
This is my 4th year at Civic Memorial High School and my third year as the STEP Coordinator.
I am originally from St. Louis and have attended SIUe where I received my bachelors in special education in 2013. I have been married for 3 years. I have one child, a daughter, who I love spending my time with. I love to travel and spend time outdoors. One of my biggest hobbies is watching and listening to plays and musicals. My top favorite right now is Hamilton!
My teaching style is project based assessments focusing on hands on learning. I want my students grades to reflect their performance on topics and not just a test score. My mission is to inspire life long learners to achieve the dreams and goals that they have set for themselves. I work closely with businesses in the community to facilitate possible job opportunities for students who are enrolled in the STEP work program.
My summer has been spent working on creating a cafe in the library- which will be run by students enrolled in STEP. Be sure to check back for the Cafe website for more information about whats happening at CMHS!
